It was crunching 1st to 2nd gear upon install. Rest of the gears shift like melted butter. It only crunches if I accelerate in 1st and shift directly into 2nd without pausing in neutral(when accelerating from a red light for instance). If I accelerate in 1st,let it idle down completely,and just barely put a tiny bit of weight on the shifter and "allow it" to pull itself slowly into 2nd,it will avoid the crunch. In heavy traffic I have to start out in 2nd to avoid getting rear ended because I can`t accelerate fast enough shifting 1st to 2nd or I`ll get the crunch.
